why I Switched Essential Oil Companies and What I use now

For years I have been using the same essential oil company, Doterra, mostly out of habit and because they were all I knew. I always cringed at the high prices and the fact that I had to order monthly to earn any “points” to get free stuff. I like Doterra oils, I just don’t like everything Doterra’s about.

I finally decided to do some research and found a new company to buy from. Plant Therapy is one who I now choose to order essential oils from.

Before we go any further, I’d just like to point out that I am an affiliate for Plant Therapy. I would not recommend Plant Therapy if I didn’t personally use them myself or love their products. They have affordable, high quality essential oils that meet or exceeds the quality of Doterra.

Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry Testing

I did some research and I found that Plant Therapy is one of the only essential oil companies that provides both GC-MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry) reports for their customers to view. Doterra does not offer this. Plant Therapy goes into detail about their GC-MS reports HERE.

The GC-MS reports breaks down and identifies and quantifies the chemicals found in individual essential oils. Basically, it tells you what constituents are found in the essential oil. The reports also show if there is any other substance that shouldn’t be in the oils, such as a solvent or non-oil chemical.

100% Pure Essential Oils and Organic Too

Plant Therapy’s essential oils are all 100% pure.  They are free of additive, adulterants, and dilutions. Meaning you won’t find any yucky fillers in the oils you buy from them.

Plant Therapy offers certified organic essential oils. So, if you are looking to “go organic” then you will be pleasantly surprised at what they offer.

They Don’t Push Internal Use

Another great reason for switching to Plant Therapy is that they don’t push using essential oils internally. I am against using essential oils internally, as they may harm your esophagus, your kidneys and liver and are just to concentrated to safely use them this way. Plant Therapy does not recommend using essential oils internally.

They Offer A Great Kid Safe Line

Another great benefit to using Plant Therapy’s oil is that they offer a great Kid Safe line. I’m in awe at this. They put it right there on the bottle so there is no confusion when going to use essential oils with your kids. They offer Kid Safe singles, blends, organics, and essential oil sets.

In House Aromatherapist

They have in house aromatherapists that you can contact and get any questions you may have about essential oils and aromatherapy answered.  That is if you can’t find the answer on their extremely helpful Blog, Everyday Essentials.

Sparkling Laundry Blends

A Great Essential Oil Dilution Chart

They have an amazing post of Essential Oil Dilution. The chart they use is so detailed. You can find out how many drops to use for a .05% dilution all the way up to 5% dilution. I’ve never seen a more detailed chart than the one offered by Plant Therapy. I refer to it often. It is HERE.

An Active Facebook Community

Plant Therapy has a great online presence in the Facebook community. Their Facebook page, Safe Essential Oil Recipes, is a great place to get recommendation for anything from aging skin to congestion to well, whatever you have a need for. The SEOR Admin’s are full of useful and helpful information and their members are very active.

No Animal Testing- Cruelty Free ingredients

I also found that Plant Therapy does not test their products on animals. I’ve always been careful when purchasing any products that do animals testing and I’m proud to be an affiliate for a company who uses cruelty-free ingredients.

There are many other reasons to love Plant Therapy, but these are the ones that I love the most about this company.
