Awesome Deodorizing Essential Oils and Recipes

Stinky smells happen. Your gym bag, the bathroom, a teenage boy’s room, the kitchen trash bin and any place your dog might hang out to name a few.

I’ve created the perfect deodorizing spray that will help eliminate and freshen up any space or item you may have that is creating unpleasant odors.

I’ll also include a diffuser blend that you can use safely to help eliminate air borne odors in your home.

Deodorizing Room Spray

Our first recipe is the room spray deodorizer. It consists of eucalyptus, cedarwood and lemon.

You can use this spray on stinky tennis shoes, directly into a gym bag, spritz a few sprays into a stinky trash can, spray into the air of your teenage boy’s room, or any place that needs to be freshened up.

Here’s what you’ll need.

  • 4-ounce glass spray bottle
  • 2 tablespoons witch hazel
  • 5 drops eucalyptus essential oil
  • 5 drops cedarwood essential oil
  • 5 drops lemon essential oil
  • Distilled water, enough to fill the bottle

A word of caution, any recipe that includes eucalyptus should not be used around children ten years and younger because it may cause respiratory issues in children.

Add the witch hazel to the four-ounce bottle. Add five drops each of eucalyptus, cedarwood and lemon essential oils.

Fill the remaining space in the bottle with distilled water. If you do not have distilled water, you can use water that has been boiled and then cooled.

Gently swirl or shake to combine the ingredients. Spray as desired to smelly areas.

Refreshing Diffuser Blend

My next recipe I have share with you before. It is great for dog odors that fill the air such as a wet dog smell. It is super simple and very refreshing.

Here’s what you will need.

  • An ultrasonic diffuser.
  • Water
  • 3 drops tea tree essential oil
  • 3 drops lemon essential oil

To use fill your ultrasonic diffuser to the fill line. Add three drop each of tea tree and lemon.

If you have a large ultrasonic diffuser (500ml) you can double or triple the recipe. Diffuse for 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off.

Wrapping it up

I’d love to know if you’ve tried my recipes and if they worked for you. Stinky smells should never be a problem with these two recipes.
