How to Grow Your Hair Naturally with Essential oils

I’ve adapted this recipe from oneessentialcommunity.com. I’ve added some additional essential oils that are good for hair growth which is my primary concern. I’ve been using it for a couple months now and it seems to be working. I’ve noticed less hair loss and see many new strands of hair growing in areas where I had seen thinning. Another plus is it smells so good too! Read on to find out how to grow your hair naturally with essential oils.

So, what’s in this hair tonic?

I’ve added two additional essential oils to the original recipe and increased the drops on Lavender. Keep reading to the end for my recipe. If you want to see the original recipe, check out the Resources section on the bottom.

Cedarwood is great for thinning hair because it may help hair grow faster and thicker. It’s also antifungal and antibacterial which is good for dandruff and hair loss prevention. Cedarwood balances oil-producing glands on the scalp, which promotes hair growth.

Clary Sage is similar to Lavender as it improves strength and prevent breakage.

Lavender essential oil is great for moisturization which will stop breakage and helps stop thinning hair. It’s antimicrobial, which means it will prevent bacteria and fungi growth. This could help stop dandruff and itchy scalp. Lavender is also known to speed up hair growth.

Peppermint essential oil causes a tingling effect that is stimulating thus helps blood circulation. It also promotes hair growth.

Rosemary oil is a great for hair growth. It promotes hair growth by stimulating hair follicles and encouraging blood circulation. As a result, lessens hair loss.

Tea Tree promotes circulation as well, with a tingling effect like peppermint oil. It has the ability to unplug hair follicles that can prevent hair growth. It too is antibacterial and antimicrobial.

Hemp Seed Oil for hair care has increased in popularity recently as it contains polyunsaturated omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids which add to the health benefits of hemp seed oil. Hemp seed oil is very moisturizing for your hair and scalp. It can help relieve itchy scalp and dandruff. It promotes hair growth, thickens hair, revives damaged hair, and adds shine.

Alcohol Free Witch Hazel is another product that goes into this tonic. It too promotes hair growth and is stimulating to the hair follicles. It soothes irritated skin, helps eliminate greasy and oily hair, helps with dandruff, and potentially reduce hair loss. I use Thayers Alcohol Free Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera. It works great and you can get it at Amazon.
