5 Kid and Dog Safe Diffuser Blends

We’ll start with my favorite one. “Sooth Me” contains Lavender, Orange, and Copaiba. Lavender is a soothing essential oil great for anxiety and stress. Orange has an uplifting and somewhat calming scent that creates a feeling of joy.  Copaiba makes the other two work better but is also gentile essential oil making it a great round up for this trio of essential oils.

Sooth Me

  • 2 drops Lavender
  • 2 drops Orange
  • 2 drops Copaiba

The next blend is a “Happy” blend. Comprising of again Orange with Geranium and Ylang Ylang. These three work together to help make you happy and joyful. Orange has an uplifting scent that fills the room. Geranium can help alleviate stress and it also uplifting and gentile. Ylang Ylang eases the mind and lessens tension and is also uplifting. Uplifting is the theme here!

The “Take a Break” Blend is great for when you’ve had a long hectic day. Kids can have hard days too. So, with the magic of Cedarwood, Frankincense and Orange things can calm down some. Cedarwood has great grounding properties. Its woodsy scent will sooth and relax. Frankincense, the “king of oils” will relax and bring you peace. Then with what we have left, Orange will uplift you and bring about a sense of calm.

Take a Break

  • 2 drops Cedarwood
  • 2 drops Frankincense
  • 1 drop Orange

The fourth diffuser blend, “Stay Alert” does just that. It perks you up and helps with focus. The Citrus in this blend is fantastically refreshing. Orange has its ever so delightful uplifting property. Grapefruit lessens mental exhaustion and stimulates the brain giving you mental shock.  Black Pepper adds a fabulous punch to this trio of essential oils. It had a subtle heat and really adds to the blend.

Stay Alert

  • 2 drops Grapefruit
  • 2 drops Orange
  • 2 drops Black pepper

The final blend is a great alternative to the peppermint and eucalyptus blends as all three of these oils support the respiratory system. Cypress and Cedarwood add a woodsy scent, while copaiba tones things down a bit with its smooth sweet scent. This blend is great to diffuse during seasonal colds and respiratory illnesses.

Respiratory Aid

  • 2 drops Cypress
  • 2 drops Cedarwood
  • 2 drops Copaiba

For best results diffuse for 15 to 30 minutes on then 15 to 30 minutes off.

All five blends are suitable for diffusers that hold 100 to 200 ml of water. If you have a larger capacity diffuser double or triple (for the 500 ml diffusers) the number of drops.

Enjoy these five diffuser blends! I’d love it if you would share with me your favorite diffuser blends. Or if you’ve tried one (or all) of these please let me know in the comments if you liked them!
